secunet GRT Platinum Edition
The secunet Golden Reader Tool Platinum Edition is the latest advancement of the Golden Reader Tool (GRT) already tested comprehensively on the market. The Golden Reader Tool Platinum Edition is a joint development of the Federal Office for Information Security (BSI) and secunet.
With GRT, secunet has developed a software application for the readout of ICAO-conform eMRTDs (electronic machine-readable travel documents) such as electronic passports. Worldwide, GRT set new standards and created new prerequisites for the interoperability of eMRTDs according to requirements of the ICAO and the EU.
Having so far only been used as a reference implementation internationally, the new secunet GRT Platinum Edition is now also applicable for commercial purposes as a version with numerous new product features,
such as
- Support of all EAC versions
- Support of biometric use-cases via BioAPI/biomiddle
- Innovative design featuring SnapIns for specific individual requirements
- OEM-versions featuring customised adjustments of design and language upon request
